Are You Suffering from Neck Pain?

The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be. Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about even if you are not suffering.

So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.

Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time. For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery depending on how bad your situation is.

Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury. This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead to injury to the neck and back.

If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse over time.

Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.

Yellow jacket sting to head leads to swollen neck?
I got stung in the back of the head by a yellow jacket yesterday, because it climbed into my hair and got stuck. I had my father remove the yellow jacket and stinger, and there was a small bump on the back of my head, slightly to the left. It didn't hurt more than normal, I think. But this morning I woke up and my neck is sore and on the left side of my neck there is a tender, swollen lump about the diameter of a ping pong ball though it doesn't stick out very far . The pain is not excruciating or anything, but I was wondering what this could indicate, as it is only the second time I have been stung and thought that swelling only occurred directly at the sting location.

Can you die from swollen neck glands?
i have really bad swollen glands in my throat...ive had them for around a month or 2...i havnt gotten around to going to the doctors because i just figured they were allergy's but now im having a really tough time swallowing i have no other symptoms is this a really big problem?

What could be the cause of all these symptoms: swollen neck, swollen glands etc..?
The right side of my neck is swollen and I can't move it down. I've been having headaches in 2 specific spots above my ear and in the back of my head. My head hurts a lot when I'm sleeping on it ive been sleeping on my back . I've actually woken up a few times because of the pain. I've got swollen lymph nodes on the same side of my neck that has swelling. There is a lump on my jawbone too. I've also had ear popping and ringing. And also, you know the feeling you get in your ear when you yawn? I don't know how to describe it other than that, but that also happens to my ear.Anyone have suggestions as to what this could be? Please don't simply say " see a doctor" .how can i tell the difference between an abscess and an infection?

What is a swollen neck / area under the chin a sign of?
I've been experiencing what can best be described as a swollen, tight neck for the past couple of days, running from my adam's apple up to the bottom of my jaw line under the chin . It's not a sore throat, rather a tight, swollen sensation that's even making swallowing a bit difficult. I have been travelling a lot over the past couple of weeks and am suffering from bad jet lag and fatigue. Apart from that, not other cold or flu like symptoms are present. What could these symptoms be a sign of?

Severely swollen neck lymph nodes, pain under ears and along the underside of my jaw?
I am starting to look like a hamster. Could this be the Mumps? Yesterday it was just the lymph nodes which were swollen but now it's under the ears and along the jaw. It's starting to give me an earache. I also have a cough, but I don't think that is a side effect from Mumps. I have a stuffy nose and watery eyes to. Any help please
