Are You Suffering from Neck Pain?
The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be.
Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some
point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it
is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all
about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one
of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about
even if you are not suffering.
So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what
cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle
strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot
of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make
you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.
Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time.
For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually
cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs
treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery
depending on how bad your situation is.
Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury.
This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing
on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead
to injury to the neck and back.
If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a
proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you
should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something
that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse
over time.
Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better
position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.

Question: Random shoulder-neck pain?
(Posted by: Hey it's me! on 2010-02-14 19:20:39)
Me and my dad were goofing around, and he hit me in the shoulder. It didn't really hurt, so I ignored it. A few minutes later, my shoulder started to ache. Now all of the sudden, my shoulder to my neck hurts, and a little bit of my back. What is this madness? I know it's not a heart attack, I am only 15... @stevefwb: Haha, I've learned my lesson. :) And thank you. @ Jane: I will get an ice pack and massage it. Thank you :) @Douglas B: Thank you! The pain is still here, but it hurts a lot less. @Hart: I'll check it out. :) |

When we get a lick like that, the muscle tightens up to make you not move it much until it heals. If there isn't any real damage, massaging to relax the muscle might help. Also, an ice pack or some ice in a freezer bag with a small towel around it. That won't relax the muscle, but will stop swelling. |

It took a while for the muscle to spasm out. Now that it has all you have to do is release the muscles in your back and this pain will be gone. Here is how to release your back muscles: Back: Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but remain there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. |
