Are You Suffering from Neck Pain?
The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be.
Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some
point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it
is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all
about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one
of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about
even if you are not suffering.
So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what
cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle
strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot
of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make
you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.
Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time.
For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually
cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs
treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery
depending on how bad your situation is.
Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury.
This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing
on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead
to injury to the neck and back.
If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a
proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you
should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something
that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse
over time.
Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better
position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.

Get your neck and back pain checked out by the chiropractor. They can assess to see if you have a misalignment in your neck or back (your lumbar spine). They can also help with muscle spams and recommend you exercises that will help to decrease pain and increase mobility. At age 14 it is not normal for you to be sufferering with this pain. I also have a few suggestions for sleeping at night that will give your relief of the neck and back pain. First get a cervical support pillow- check out the cervical traction neck pillow for a good neck pillow. If you are a petite person, check out the linear gravity neck pillow. Second, for lower back pain relief- sleep on your back, with 2 regular pillows under your knees. This keeps the spine in a neutral position taking the pressure off of your lower back. Hope this helps

Cameron, at your age there should not be any pain but since you have it do these movements. All you need is a straight chair. Sit in the chair and raise the left arm up as high as you can and then bring it back to the side. Now do the right arm the same way and you will find that one arm will go up higher than the other so start with that arm. Raise that arm up as high and hard as you can for thirty seconds and then rest for fifteen seconds. Repeat that twice more and then switch to the other side and do three repetitions exactly the same way. Now turn your head to the left as far as you can and then go to the right. One side will turn further than the other, start with that side. Turn in that direction as hard and far as you can for thirty seconds and then rest for fifteen seconds. Repeat that twice more and then go to the other side and do three repetitions exactly the same way. Now get up and walk around and there should be a lessening of complaints in the neck and lower back. Return to the chair and twist the body to the left as far as it will go and then do the same to the right. Start with the side that moves the furthest. Go in that direction for thirty seconds and then rest for fifteen seconds. Repeat that twice more and then go to the opposite side and repeat the sequence three times on that side. Next bring the Left knee up as close to the Right shoulder as possible and then do the opposite of Right knee to the Left shoulder. Start with the side that goes the furthest and do that combination three times as hard as you can for thirty seconds and then rest for fifteen seconds. Repeat that twice more and then do the opposite combination for three times. Get up and walk around and the lower back should be freer and in less pain. Lastly sit in the chair and using the left leg only attempt to stand up from the chair. If you have to use one of the arms to assist you. Then do the opposite leg. One leg will be able to raise the body easier than the other so start on the side. Do that leg ten times and then rest for one minute and repeat twice more on that leg. Repeat that entire sequence three times on the other leg. Move around and the pain should be less and you should be more mobile.
