Are You Suffering from Neck Pain?

The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be. Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about even if you are not suffering.

So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.

Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time. For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery depending on how bad your situation is.

Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury. This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead to injury to the neck and back.

If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse over time.

Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.

I have heart desease, neck pain and tachycardia?

Question: I have heart desease, neck pain and tachycardia?

(Posted by: DeAdra on 2009-06-21 12:19:14)

I have heart desease, Non- Ischemic Cardiomyopathy. I haven't seen a heart doctor in more than 6 months because I moved from the area I onced lived in and I have no insurance. Lately I have been having some tachycardia, palpitations, high blood pressure and pain in the left back part of my neck. Any suggestions. I can't take off from work, I have only been on my job 5 months. I am worried, tired, in pain and wondering what I should do. I also forgot to add that I have an Implanted Defibulator, that I have had checked since last year. And this kind is also supposed to be checked every 3 months. My tachycardia readings are 130bpm the highest is 142bpm and my blood pressure readings were from 161/ 101 to 212/ 109 with heart rates of 130 and above. Bouncing up and down between 90- 142 all day long for the past week. I am not having chest pain, just neck pain and severe tiredness. I meant to say that I have "not " had checked since last year.

Agree with the above... you need to find a new doctor. It sounds to me like your heart condition has progressed, and if you do not have your treatment plan altered appropriately, it could result in death or deterioration of your heart to the point where no medicine or treatment will be able to force it to function. That's no good (obviously). I hate to say this, but you are only going to get more tired (as your heart fails, fatigue/ tiredness is a HUGE symptom) and feel worse if you do not find a new treatment plan. Understand your plight about insurance, but perhaps you could apply for Medicaid (if you are in the US) or something? Or get private insurance? Some are horrendously expensive but some are down to $100-200 a month... I would try and get insurance ASAP because if your condition continues to deteriorate and you need surgery, you do NOT want those bills!! Are you full-time at your job? If so, your insurance should kick in any time now! If not, can you ask your boss if you can go full time (might be more work but then you would get insurance!). Do you have any family, close friends or significant other that can help you out? I know it's awkward, but you're at the point now where it's necessary... Perhaps you could try an urgent care center for now, but just as a warning, they will most likely send you to the ER. You could go to the ER straight out, they can do a lot of the blood tests and exams to at least tell if there is something blatant or emergently wrong with your heart. It will be expensive, but at least then you will know for sure where you stand with your condition. And it will be less expensive than waiting til you deteriorate and have to be carted off by ambulance and admitted to the hospital and have surgery, etc. Also, the little things until you can see a doctor that you can do: make sure your diet is healthy, stressing your heart out with crappy food will only make things worse. Fruits, veggies, lein protein, good fats, dairy, etc. Take a daily mult-vitamin & a daily baby aspirin. Rest, relax, and de-stress whenever you can, and put your feet up - helps blood flow return to your heart and your heart not have to work quite as hard. Take hot showers and inhale the steam, it opens your airways and also helps you relax. If you feel yourself getting tired or short of breath while walking, sit down until it does away, don't try and walk it off. I know those sound pretty lame and stupid, but those are the little things you can do before you can get to a doctor. But you really do need to get there ASAP. And of course, if any of your symptoms change for what they usually are day-to-day (like if they get much worse suddenly, you get symptoms you don't usually have, major pain or SOB, etc) GO TO THE ER. It might cost a lot but it's your life at risk. Good luck, I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I went through a period with no insurance too and had a couple emergencies - it sucked really bad but it was worth it to go to the ER at the time. You will get through it!! I hope you feel better soon!!

You need to go to the hospital and have them check it out or go to a local doctor. That seems very serious and im sorry you have to go through this.

Any heart disease is not something to mess around with. There is no other option. You NEED to see a doctor.

You need to see a cardiologist soon, regardless of work, as cardiomyopathy can worsen with time and may lead to heart failure and other very serious conditions.
