Are You Suffering from Neck Pain?

The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be. Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about even if you are not suffering.

So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.

Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time. For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery depending on how bad your situation is.

Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury. This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead to injury to the neck and back.

If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse over time.

Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.

Diagnose me please? neck pain, etc.?
I know I should go to the doctor. In fact, I will probably go tomorrow. But I'm wondering what MIGHT be wrong with me, so that I will know what to expect. I hate needles and tests and hospitals, so I'm hoping to avoid all that if possible.I am a 28yo female, healthy. I did have both shingles and erythema nodosum sp? in the past year or two.Current symptoms a VERY stiff, sore neck for the past 3 days. I have no knowledge of any injury but Friday morning woke up with a very painful neck. It hurt to turn it side to side or up and down. Sharp pain when moving it in any direction. Yesterday, the stiff, sore neck spread into the back of my head, like where my neck muscles connect to my head, so the base of the back of my head is sore too. Pain also spread down my neck to my upper back and shoulders. It is nothing like any stiff neck I have ever had much more painful. mild fever of 99 100 degrees. I have been taking ibuprofen so it is possible it would be slightly higher if it weren't for the ibuprofen. slight nausea, but I think that is from the pain of my neck when I am in a lot of pain like from a broken bone or shingles, I always feel kinda nauseous so I think that is related to that. mild headache, which again, I think is from the pain in my neck. have had symptoms that seem like a sinus infection common for me for about a week. Probably unrelated to the neck. Mostly a runny nose. generally feeling unwell.Any thoughts?PS I originally thought maybe meningitis, BUT I don't have a rash, haven't been vomiting, I can touch my chin to my chest actually, bending my head forward is the easiest direction to bend it , and I can lie on my back and lift my leg straight up, which I read is a test for meningitis.

I woke up one morning with neck pain. I cant move my head without great discomfort. What should I do?

Wisdom tooth - neck pain for years?
hi, i recently went to the dentist after 15 years they scare me and was told i had an impacted wisdom tooth, i am waiting for surgery to remove it. i have been suffering terribly for years with neck pain, well its more like really bad tension all around the left hand side, and my jaw, head, shoulders and upper back also hurt on the left side only. i have difficulty concentrating, where i used to be so focused. i also suffer from depression anxiety, and my neck gets increasingly worse when im stressed, but again only on the side of the tooth. could this all be connceted? i also had a trapped nerve in my left arm about 5 years ago. i had an mri scan around this time to see if there was a problem with my neck, but the consultant at the hospital told me it was just stress and gave me the title of a book to read i knew it was something else, as it was all just on my left side. my neck gets so stiff, and i have to keep clicking it for some kind of relief, the muscles there feel so stiff its unbearable. i need to know if takin the wisdom tooth out it will stop me feeling like this, as i am fed up of taking painkillers for 10 years. i have tried every massage machine under the sun, but nothing helps

I have had a headache constantly for 8 days along with neck pain. I also urinate every hour and a half in pm?
I have taken different pain meds over the counter even drank nothing but water but nothing is helping.

How to deal with neck pains?
I sometimes have neck pains, and I almost always react to them by cracking my neck. I know it's wrong to do this, but it just seems like a bad habit I can't get rid of. What are some suggestions to relax these muscles? Also what might be the contributing factor to these pains? I'm thinking that sitting on the desk chair for so long is the cause. I might not be using proper form. I've also been looking into new pillows that might help my neck relax better at nights. Are there any specific types of pillows I should be looking into? I do not believe I have any other problems that might be causing these pains.

Does Medical Marijuana really take back and neck pain away?

Can ringing in the ears be related to my neck pain?

Neck pain on left side causing pain/ache in lower left jaw.?
I was driving last week and felt my neck on the left side about 1.5inches from the edge of my trachea and I had a sudden sharp pain. Since then I have suffered with pain on my left side that has caused me severe toothache on my left lower jaw along the back teeth and now, if I apply pressure to the neck pain, it radiates to my lower jaw. I have pain when I turn my neck to the right but not any other direction. When it first happened I did have pain when swallowing and felt like there was a swelling in my throat but I couldn't feel any swelling from the outside. I am able to alleviate the pain using paracetamol and am now taking ibuprofen and codeine which has helped alot. I have gum disease which I am treating with mouth washes as advised by the dentist but this is mainly in my lower front teeth although occasionally I do get bleeding in my rear lower teeth. At this stage I'm not sure whether to go to the doctor or dentist for an answer, I thought at first I had pulled my neck muscle but this feels different.
