Are You Suffering from Neck Pain?

The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be. Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about even if you are not suffering.

So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.

Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time. For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery depending on how bad your situation is.

Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury. This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead to injury to the neck and back.

If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse over time.

Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.

Can a neck injury cause headaches?
I had a car accident almost two months ago. Since then I have had pretty constant headaches and scalp tenderness. my neck also hurts. I had an mri which showed I have a bulging disk in my neck. I also had an mri of my brain which came back normal. My neck muscles are really tight and inflammed still. could this cause my headaches?

How to heal this neck injury?
so me and a few friends were kinda play fighting, something about UFC... well whatever we were drunk, but I kinda got my neck snapped forward and now i can barely move it. is there anyway to make this go away faster?

Claim settlement for neck injury from rear-end accident?
I received neck injuries when I was 15 years old and to this day still pay the price. I sleep with a neck brace, live every day cautious and careful of my neck, and at times has to tell my three year old I can not hold her because my neck hurts. For the past several years, I work with a chiropractor and orthopedic surgeon to alleviate pain and avoid surgery. I was rear ended again, a few months ago. As soon as I was hit, a sharp pain went down the right side of the neck. At the time, I was doing the normal right arm across my daughters chest and looking right, towards her, to make sure she was okay. I am a 42 year, 5 4 , 108 lbs, head of household mother with three small girls, 12, 10, and 3. I take a lot of pride in staying healthy and fit to be there for my children. We eat organic and mostly natural foods. I work out on a regular basis, including with my children. I can not afford full blown tennis, gymnastic, etc lessons, so I pay for one day a week and then fill in all the other days with me being out there with them. I intend to do that kind of activity for many years to come.Given the previous condition of my neck, I take many precautions to avoid surgery at such a young age and having children to care for. All those around me, my family and friends, also help out. When my personal trainer demonstrates a new workout activity I stand there and watch his head movement. Then when he is finished, I take my hands and show him how much vertical was involved in that exercise. If it s more than a couple inches, I laugh at him and he knows to come up with something else. So, now I experience a shocking pain down my right arm when I hold the phone or when I pick up my cup of tea in the morning and I am unable to sleep on my right side because of the should pain. I don t want to even think about it. I've had four adjustments in the past couple of months. I will continue to work hard to strengthen my neck and keep my disc in place. I am still convinced I can make my neck better.Insurance company is asking me to name a price. As for compensation, that s where I can not put my arms around it. I know my neck condition has changed. I do not know if there is temporary or permanent damage done. The effort it would take to involve a lawyer, seek more medical advice would only add to my busy schedule and take time away from my family even though I know it is inevitable, I will hold off on it as long as I can. Suggestions? Thank you for your time

I was injured at work and am seeking worker's comp. Has anyone gotten a rating for a neck injury?
I was kicked in the neck by a patient while working at a hospital. I have to file my case now due to the 2 year statute of limitations on work comp cases. I have hired a lawyer and am aware that they will only pay for my medical expenses and time missed from work the specified amount based on the " permanent partial impairment." I still have headaches regularly and also have spells of Syncope passing out that doctors have related to this incident. Has anyone had or known of a similar case and what rating was received?

Penetrating neck injury?
I was just reading about a case where a carpenter was killed on the job when a circular saw slashed his neck. Hear is the whole story cdc.gov niosh face stateface ca 96ca013.htmlThe decedent stood on the step just below the top support of the step ladder with his left foot and placed his right foot on some ceiling drywall which had been exposed when the former outside wall had been removed. He leaned over with the saw, which had its guard wedged back, to cut off the end of the purlin just above his head. As he did so the ceiling drywall broke and the decedent lost his balance. He began to fall and as he did, the circular saw's rotating blade made contact with the right side of his neck causing an elliptical wound 5 inches long by 2 inches wide. The saw blade cut through the jugular vein and carotid artery. Both vessels were esentially cut in half.Bleeding profusely, the decedent fell onto the flooring in a kneeling position. Another worker, his cousin, rushed to him. The decedent got up, looking dazed, and walked toward his cousin and then collapsedThe paramedics were dispatched at 9 45 a.m. and arrived at the scene at 9 48 a.m. They found the decedent to be cyanotic and without a pulse or spontaneous respirations. At 9 53 a.m. he was pronouced dead at the scene. The coroner's report stated the cause of death to be exsanguination due to the laceration of the right neck vessels1. Does this mean that the victim basically bled to death?2. Would have more urgent medical attention saved this mans life?

What is happening? Minor neck injury.?
I recently burned the back of my neck with a curling iron in two places. Now there is an open wound, not very deep though. It bled for a little while but not much. Now everytime I lay my back, yawn, lay my head in a certian position it hurts. I've noticed if I've sat for a while I will get up & everything will be so blurry. It increases everytime sometime its 5 sec and now its ten. Even when I lay my head completely what is happening? And should I be concerned?

Past neck injury causing numbness?
In May of 2008 I had a neck injury. Nothing broken just a neck sprain strain. I've been having problems lately with pain and numbness in my arms. Today I woke up and my hands felt stiff when I tried to straighten them out. Just curious if that might be some thing related to my injury and or if I should see my doctor. I don't know if its even something I should go to the doctor for. I don't wanna waste his time. Thanks in advance.

Could a neck injury do this?

Was this a neck injury?
Last summer I was swimming in a pool. I tried to go underwater from one end to the other as fast as I could. I had my eyes closed and ended up snapping my neck back really hard.I had pins and needles in my legs and lower back for a week. It's been a year now and I am fine. What was that all about?

What to do about my neck injury?
I've had pain in the lower right part of my neck for the past 8 months or so, first started noticing it when i got my car and it would occasionally ache when i drove, and since then it has progressively gotten worse, to the point where now it aches 24 7. When it gets real bad it sorta feels like the muscle or something is stretching. aspirin ibuprofen temporarily relieves some of the pain, but it is still noticeable, the majority of the time it is just a dull ache though.i recently went to only of the few doctors around here that supports medicaid insurance lots of new foreign doctors, overworked, etc. , told her my problem, and all she fresh out of med school i think did was give me a sheet of exercises to do. It was was a bunch of illustrations. Laughable. I'm no medical expert but i don't think this type of injury would this be considered an " injury" or is there a better word? just wondering , especially one that is getting worse over time, will be remedied by cookie cutter exercises. What should i do? I can't afford proper insurance, so that's really the only doctors office i can go to. If i go back, i might get a different doctor, but that's not guaranteed, and even if i did i would likely get the same response. My dad recommends me going to the ER. Aside from the fact that i would hate to be in a waiting room for 12 hours , i don't think this is a good idea.basically what im asking is if this neck problem could be solved by simply doing the exercises, or if i need to get it actually checked out.thanks a bunch, just talked to my dad and he said he'll set up an appointment with his chiropractor

Neck injury that has lasted for over 1 year?
got in a car accident a year ago, where i had serious whiplash. x rays were fine but i have to rebuild my muscle tissue in my neck, its healing, but so slowly. I have been sleeping on a small bed on my back so my neck doesn't move. I've been doing this for the last year. I am so scared to re agrravate it. Last year I fell asleep while i was sitting in a booth and tilted my head the wrong way, and the right side of my neck flared up really bad. If i sleep on my stomach or on my side so my neck is in different positions will I re aggravate my neck injury or will it heal faster? I also have TMJ from that accident.
