Are You Suffering from Neck Pain?
The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be.
Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some
point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it
is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all
about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one
of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about
even if you are not suffering.
So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what
cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle
strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot
of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make
you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.
Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time.
For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually
cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs
treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery
depending on how bad your situation is.
Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury.
This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing
on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead
to injury to the neck and back.
If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a
proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you
should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something
that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse
over time.
Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better
position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.
Question: Any suggestions for a good exercise dvd for neck and back pain?

I have been having chronic neck pain (disk degeneration) and recent back pain (disk) and before seeking out a physical therapist and overloading on Advil, I wanted to try an exercise DVD for back and neck pain. Anyone know of any effective ones? PLEASE, THIS IS A REAL QUESTION, SO ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS.....

Not sure if a DVD is available, but I'd highly recommend reading Robin McKenzie's "Treat your own Neck " and/ or "Treat your own back. " I believe they are also available combined in "Seven Steps to a Pain Free Life. " These books help you understand the TYPE of neck or back pain you have and how to determine which exercises are appropriate for you...you cannot base which exercises to do based on a medical diagnosis...it has to be based on what happens when the patient moves.

Hello, There's a great article on back pain exercises here:backandneckpainresources.com/ Reasons%20Your%20Back%20Pain%20Exercises%20Don't%20Work%20and%20What%20You%20Can%20Do%20About%20It.html In the article, you'll learn why most back pain exercises don't work and what you can do about it. Pain is simply a warning sign that something is wrong and needs to be addressed. I would use caution against taking Advil because simply taking medication to hide the pain is like shutting off the fire alarm in a burning building. You've got to treat the problem to offset any additional challenges that may manifest itself from your current condition(s). Believe it or not, most neck and back pain relief can be found using a natural and multifaceted approach in nutrition, physical and emotional healing - supporting your body's natural ability to heal for pain-free living. A simple change in the way that you eat, postural re-balancing and even using a simple emotional freedom technique can work wonders! Hope this helps!
