Are You Suffering from Neck Pain?
The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be.
Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some
point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it
is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all
about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one
of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about
even if you are not suffering.
So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what
cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle
strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot
of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make
you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.
Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time.
For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually
cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs
treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery
depending on how bad your situation is.
Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury.
This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing
on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead
to injury to the neck and back.
If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a
proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you
should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something
that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse
over time.
Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better
position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.
What is this neck pain?
My mom has been having this weird pain in her neck for years. It went away for a while but now it's back. She says it feels like there are two tendons that feel like they are crossing over and she can hear them kinda rubbing together, and its pretty painful. Its from about bottom of the neck to to back of the head. Neither of us have any idea what it could be, and we know she needs to see a doctor, but does anyone have an idea of what it is?

Extreme neck pain after falling.?
I fell, 2 nights ago and hit my head. My head landed cocked to the side. Immediately my neck began to have pain spasms. My head is still cocked to the side soI went to the doctor yesterday, an Xray showed no break and he put me on muscle relaxers and pain medicine. Since then, my head still cannot move to the center without extreme neck pain. I moved it once earlier and I heard a crack and now I can not move it at all. It hurts extremely bad. Any ideas?

Wisdom tooth - neck pain for years?
hi, i recently went to the dentist after 15 years they scare me and was told i had an impacted wisdom tooth, i am waiting for surgery to remove it. i have been suffering terribly for years with neck pain, well its more like really bad tension all around the left hand side, and my jaw, head, shoulders and upper back also hurt on the left side only. i have difficulty concentrating, where i used to be so focused. i also suffer from depression anxiety, and my neck gets increasingly worse when im stressed, but again only on the side of the tooth. could this all be connceted? i also had a trapped nerve in my left arm about 5 years ago. i had an mri scan around this time to see if there was a problem with my neck, but the consultant at the hospital told me it was just stress and gave me the title of a book to read i knew it was something else, as it was all just on my left side. my neck gets so stiff, and i have to keep clicking it for some kind of relief, the muscles there feel so stiff its unbearable. i need to know if takin the wisdom tooth out it will stop me feeling like this, as i am fed up of taking painkillers for 10 years. i have tried every massage machine under the sun, but nothing helps

Advice for neck pain?
The right side of my neck really hurts. The pain is so bad that I have to keep my head tilted so that my head rests on my left shoulder, and any movement from my right arm makes it hurt more. Ibuprofen doesn't help. My mom thinks I'm fine, but I just find it odd, since it set on very suddenly, when I was sitting around doing nothing. Any advice?I don't think I slept on it wrong. I fell asleep in the same position I always do, and I don't don't move much while I sleep.

Diagnose me please? neck pain, etc.?
I know I should go to the doctor. In fact, I will probably go tomorrow. But I'm wondering what MIGHT be wrong with me, so that I will know what to expect. I hate needles and tests and hospitals, so I'm hoping to avoid all that if possible.I am a 28yo female, healthy. I did have both shingles and erythema nodosum sp? in the past year or two.Current symptoms a VERY stiff, sore neck for the past 3 days. I have no knowledge of any injury but Friday morning woke up with a very painful neck. It hurt to turn it side to side or up and down. Sharp pain when moving it in any direction. Yesterday, the stiff, sore neck spread into the back of my head, like where my neck muscles connect to my head, so the base of the back of my head is sore too. Pain also spread down my neck to my upper back and shoulders. It is nothing like any stiff neck I have ever had much more painful. mild fever of 99 100 degrees. I have been taking ibuprofen so it is possible it would be slightly higher if it weren't for the ibuprofen. slight nausea, but I think that is from the pain of my neck when I am in a lot of pain like from a broken bone or shingles, I always feel kinda nauseous so I think that is related to that. mild headache, which again, I think is from the pain in my neck. have had symptoms that seem like a sinus infection common for me for about a week. Probably unrelated to the neck. Mostly a runny nose. generally feeling unwell.Any thoughts?PS I originally thought maybe meningitis, BUT I don't have a rash, haven't been vomiting, I can touch my chin to my chest actually, bending my head forward is the easiest direction to bend it , and I can lie on my back and lift my leg straight up, which I read is a test for meningitis.
