Are You Suffering from Neck Pain?
The more you know about neck pain causes the better off you will be.
Believe it or not, most people suffer from neck pain causes at some
point in their life. Yours may be more serious than others, or maybe it
is just a minor tweak. But no matter what, if you know what this is all
about and how to address the problem you will be better off. This is one
of those potential health concerns that you want to know a lot about
even if you are not suffering.
So what neck pain causes are most common? It is hard to say what
cause is the most common of them all, but many believe that it is muscle
strains. If you pull a muscle in your neck or back it can lead to a lot
of pain in the area. In fact, the pain can be so bad that it may make
you wonder if you didn't hurt yourself in another way.
Of course, there are more serious issues that can come up over time.
For instance, a herniated disk can lead to a lot of pain and eventually
cause problems in other areas as well. This is something that needs
treated by an experienced doctor, and may even call for surgery
depending on how bad your situation is.
Finally, another one of the most common neck pain causes is injury.
This can include anything from a car accident to falling down. Landing
on your neck the wrong way or being suddenly hit without notice can lead
to injury to the neck and back.
If you are suffering from neck pain it is important to receive a
proper diagnosis. Even if you think you know what the problem is you
should see your doctor just to make sure. Neck pain is not something
that you want to take lightly as minor problems can linger and get worse
over time.
Now that you know more about neck pain causes you are in better
position to handle this problem should you begin to suffer.
Please explain this cervical neck MRI report?
There is preservation of vertebral body height with maintenance of alignment on the sagittal plane. The STIR signal sequence shows no evidence to suggest marrow edema. Decreased T1 and STIR signal intensity is seen throughout the interverterbral discs extending from the c2 3 through the c6 7 suggesting disc dessictaion. Visualized portions of the cervical cord are without pathologic enlargement or abnormal signal intensity. The visualized skull base contents appear grossly unremarkable. No significant preverbal soft issue swelling is identified. At C4 5 there is moderate arthritic change seen within the right uncovertebral joint causing a moderate right neural forminal narrowing. There Is no significant encroachment into the central canal at any cervical level. The remainder of the neural formina appear grossly patent.Impression 1. No MRI evidence to suggest an acute fracture or subluxation of the cervical spine.2. No significant encroachment stenosis of the central canal is seen throughout the cervical spine.3. Moderate uncovertebral joint arthrosis seen to the right of midline at the C5 6 level causing moderate narrowing of the right neural foramina at this level. The remainder of the neural forminal throughout the cervical spine appear grossly unremarkable.4. Additional findings as above. Not sure if it matters, but I am 29. I was told that if I was up to it, I could be released from the hospital the same day as the surgery. Just need feedback from those who have gone through this procedure. Wondering if I could go back to work in a couple of days after the proecedure.

Is my cervical neck pillow hurting me?
I've had neck shoulder problems for 5 years. There's not a day that goes by where I don't wake up with a stiff neck, stuck joint, or general muscle soreness tightness. I have a slightly herniated disc at C6 C7. Every doctor I've seen for this, from chiros to pain management guys, have told me to use a cervical neck pillow. I went through several of the cheap ones from Wal Mart, before going out and investing in a pricy, higher quality one from Sharper Image. It's more or less a rebranded Tempurpedic. My pain never really got better, but it wasn't getting worse.A few nights a week, I've found myself using a good old regular foam pillow, and my pain joint problems have decreased. Is it possible the cervical pillows are hurting me? I'm thinking that the structure of my neck doesn't " match" the hump and groove on the pillow.I sleep on my side.
I need to know how long I will be out of work after cervical neck surgery for herniated disk?

Can you suggest a natural remedy and/or pain control options for a cervical(neck) cyst?
The doctor prefers not to operate because of it's proximity to my spine and nerves. Unfortunately the cyst creates pressure on my spine and nerves which causes a lot of pain in my back, shoulders and even down to my fingers. What can I do besides pop pain pills? Is there anything else I could do shrink the cyst or alleviate the pain?It is not a sebaceous cyst. The cyst can not be seen bulging on the surface of the skin.
Are these symptoms of cervical (neck pain)?
I very recently started doing yoga. During one particular aasana ghatichakra or smthing in which one has to sit over his her shank and bend the upper part of the body backwards placing the hands on the ankle, I felt a little stress on the crevical muscles bones. From last night on, I've been feeling a kind of discomfort not pain in the cervix and have this intense urge to stretch my arms backwards, bend my head backwards so as to put the same strain in the cervix as was put while doing that asana.I am just wondering if this discomfort is because of cervical or is it that that my cervix had become so stiff because very less movement of neck or lack of exercise that I'm feeling like this?

I have a central cervical (neck) slipped disc. Is it possible that this could be causing lower back and leg pa?
I was diagnosed by MRI scan about 3 months ago as having a slipped disc in my neck. My consultant said it is more of a problem than usual as it has slipped to the right but also centrally, meaning it may be putting pressure on my spinal cord. I have suffered for a while with right arm pain, numbness, tingling. I have also suffered with bouts of right leg pain. Sometimes I can have pain from my neck all the way down to my toe I am gettingSorry, some of the information seems to be missing I am getting a lot of lower back pain aswell. I am in physio therapy and have been referred to a pain specialist for an epidural as my consultant is not happy with how long it is taking to get better. PT seems to offer short term relief. Also been referred to a neurologist due to dizzy spells and black outs that seem to coincide with pain and excercise
